Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask Review

There are holy grail beauty products that I talk about over and over and over again, but they aren’t “newsy” or exciting because I’ve been using them since the beginning of time (or at least, since before I had a blog), so I’ve never done a full review of them. I’m making a point to get reviews of more of those holy grail products up more often and one of those is the Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask. If I were only allowed one face mask for the rest of my life, it would be this one. It’s truly the best face mask ever, and just so amazing before a big event (ya I know, what are events?). This face mask is a favorite of everyone from beauty editors to celebrities, and it’s probably going to be your new favorite too (on the off chance you have not tried it, yet!).

Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask Review

ANYWAY. This mask is the greatest. But you already know that. Tata Harper has been a pioneer on the clean beauty front. It’s a dream of mine to visit her farm in Vermont, where all of her botanicals are grown. She has some really amazing products. This mask is my number one but I also love her cleansing oil, and the purifying cleanser too. I have talked before about using the two of those products for a double cleansing combo… it’s divine!

This mask is great for all skin types, but is especially good anytime your skin is feeling rough or dull. It immediately tightens, brightens, and exfoliates… but it’s gentle enough for sensitive skin types and also to use the day of a big event.

Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask Benefits

This mask is amazing as it gets your skin REALLY GLOWY. And tighter/firmer looking too (though that benefit is short term). It exfoliates really well, dissolving rough patches or dry skin, and it refines the look of pores. Mostly, skin feels so smooth and looks so glowy after. Your skin tone will be more even, too. It’s really just such a good multi-tasker… basically, it does everything.

Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask Ingredients

Tata Harper uses only natural ingredients from organic farming. I remember when I first tried this mask and was skeptical about clean beauty. This mask convinced me that clean beauty could also be high tech!

Natural BHA from Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract:

BHA = beta hydroxy acids… these enzymes provides chemical exfoliation that cleans, clears, and minimizes the look of pores. It’s pretty amazing how well it exfoliates.

Beta Vulgaris (Beet) Root Extract:

This mask uses beta vulgaris (from sugar beets!) which conditions the skin and helps to minimize fine lines.

Pomegranate Enzymes:

Sloughs off dead skin cells and smooths uneven skin texture.

Pink Clay and White Clay:

Gently absorbs oil and buildup to refines pores.

Other key ingredients include Leuconostoc Ferment Filtrate (also known as radish root extract which soothes the skin and is also a natural preservative), Sodium Phytate (also a natural preservative, keeps the formula from changing over time), and hydrolyzed corn starch (moisturizes + binds the formula together). You can view the full ingredients list here!

How To Use Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask

Wash your face.

OK duh but you want to get your skin nice and clean, so that the mask can do its best work without having to fight through dirt and oil.

Apply a thin layer of the mask.

I like to use a mask or spatula to apply a thin (these spatulas, from Amazon, are great + cheap), even coat. You do not need much.

Leave it on for 30 minutes.

It’s going to tighten up (think of how Elmer’s Glue feels as it dries). Sometimes I’ll leave it on for longer (up to an hour) if I have the time/am watching TV. You absolutely don’t have to though. My favorite time to do it is before bed (and then I’ll put on a thick coat of moisturizer, usually Bader) and wake up a glowy and hydrated angel. That being said, it is also great before an event!

I like to use it once a week.

You can do it more (maybe two times a week) but I don’t really think you need to, especially as the mask is on the more expensive side and it does such a great job exfoliating.

Is the Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask Worth It ?!

Honestly, yes? Like I said, this mask is my absolute favorite. I don’t like to say that expensive things (it’s still $65 after all) are “worth it,” as you certainly don’t “need” this mask, but I really love it. It’s a facial in a jar. I always buy it whenever Sephora is doing their big sale.

It really is the best mask. It’s also a great pimple treatment. If you start to get a spot, one tiny dab (leave on overnight) totally erases it.

Could NOT agree with this more! Absolutely LOVE Tata Harper and this mask is amazing. I also live for the nourishing oil and regenerating cleansers. The clarifying mask is also divine. Love that you give her products such a high rating and review because I completely trust your judgment with skincare products! 🙂 Happy Thursday!
